POWER JACK

Attach the output plug from the included power supply to the 9V power jack. Current draw: 100mA at 9.0VDC

TYPE BUTTON

Press this button to switch between the two modes, the color of the LED indicates which mode you are in. Green LED indicates Compressor. Orange LED indicates Limiter.

VOL KNOB

Controls the output volume.

SUSTAIN KNOB

In Compressor Mode, turning the SUSTAIN knob clockwise increases the compression ratio. In Limiter Mode, turning the SUSTAIN knob clockwise decreases the threshold level, which forces the limiter to act sooner.

ATTACK KNOB

Sets the speed at which compressor / limiter activates once the input signal level reaches or exceeds the threshold setting. Turning clockwise adjusts the attack time from fast to slow.

BLEND KNOB

Adjusts the output wet / dry mix.

INPUT JACK

Audio input to the Pico Platform.

OUTPUT JACK

Audio output from the Pico Platform.

FOOTSWITCH & STATUS LED

Footswitch engages or bypasses the effect. The LED color indicates the selected effect type. In bypass, the LED is off.

9V POWER JACK

An optional 9VDC, center-negative power supply can be connected to the power jack to provide power without a battery. The Nano Q-Tron requires 10mA at 9VDC on a center-negative plug. Do not exceed 12VDC at the power jack.

VOLUME KNOB

Adjusts the overall volume at the OUTPUT jack. As VOL is turned clockwise, the output level increases. Use VOL to match the effect volume to your bypass volume or give the effect a volume boost.

DRIVE KNOB

Sets the envelope sensitivity gain, which in turn controls how wide the filter sweeps. The higher the DRIVE setting, the more the filter reacts to your playing and the higher in frequency the filter will jump when you play a note. Turn DRIVE clockwise for a wider filter sweep or counterclockwise to reduce the sweep range. If you turn DRIVE up too far, the filter sweep will max out at its highest frequency (approximately 3.5kHz) and remain at the highest frequency until the note has fully decayed. Louder instruments will typically use lower DRIVE settings while quieter instruments require higher settings. When learning the Nano Q-Tron, start with DRIVE at 12 o’clock.

Q KNOB

Sets the bandwidth of the filter. As Q is turned clockwise, the filter sounds more resonant or peakier, making the envelope effect more dramatic. Low settings of Q yield a less intense filter curve. Start with Q set to about 2 o’clock for a middle-of-the-road filter intensity.

MODE ROTARY SWITCH (LP / BP / HP)

Determines the frequency range that the filter allows to pass through. LP (Lowpass) mode emphasizes low frequencies, BP (Bandpass) middle frequencies and HP (Highpass) high frequencies.

INPUT JACK

Audio input to the Nano Q-Tron.

AMP JACK

Audio output from the Nano Q-Tron. In bypass mode, the AMP jack is directly connected to the INPUT jack.

FOOTSWITCH and STATUS LED

The footswitch engages or bypasses the effect. The Status LED lights when the effect is engaged. The LED is off in bypass mode. The Nano Q-Tron employs True Bypass.

VOL KNOB

This knob sets the master output level.

FILTER PEAK

Controls the resonance of the Mainframe’s filter.

FILTER FREQ

This knob controls the frequency of the filter.

BLEND KNOB

This knob blends between the dry guitar signal and the effect signal.

BIT DEPTH KNOB

As this knob is turned clockwise, the bit depth of the signal is reduced, producing a distorted, noisy tone.

SAMPLE RATE KNOB

As this knob is turned clockwise, the sample rate of the signal is reduced, producing a ringing or glitchy tone.

EXP / PRESET BUTTON AND GREEN LED

Turns expression mode or a saved preset on and off. When the Green LED is lit, expression control is enabled, or the preset is enabled.

FILTER HPF/BPF/LPF SWITCH

Toggles the the filter: HPF: High-Pass Filter, BPF: Band-Pass Filter, and LPF: Low-Pass Filter.

FOOTSWITCH AND RED LED

Toggles between bypass and effect modes.

INPUT JACK

This 1/4″ phone jack is the audio input.

EXP JACK CONNECT

An expression pedal or control voltage jack to allow for external control over every knob on the Mainframe.

OUTPUT JACK

This 1/4″ phone jack is the main audio output.

VOLUME KNOB

Works as a master volume control for the entire pedal.

BLEND KNOB

This mixes between the dry and distorted signals.

TONE KNOB

Provides a range of sounds from high treble to deep bass.

SUSTAIN KNOB

Adjusts the amount of sustain and distortion.

GATE KNOB

Raising the Gate threshold requires greater input amplitude to open the noise gate, allowing your notes to be heard and your instrument to pass through.

MIDS LEVEL KNOB

When MIDS is engaged, the MIDS LEVEL knob either boosts or cuts up to +/- 10dB, at the frequency set by the FREQ knob located below it.

MIDS FREQ KNOB

Sets the center frequency of the MIDS EQ circuit ranging from 310Hz to 5.0kHz.

WICKER SWITCH

With the switch up, the wicker is engaged and high frequency bandwidth is opened up for a bright and clear top end and more pronounced attack.

MIDS Q SWITCH (HIGH/LOW)

The Q switch sets the resonance or bandwidth of the MIDS EQ.

MIDS FOOTSWITCH / LED

Engages or bypasses the MIDS EQ section.

BYPASS FOOTSWITCH / LED

Toggles between effect mode and true bypass. When the red status LED is lit, the effect is active.

INPUT

Plug your instrument into here.

EXP INPUT

Connect an expression pedal with a TRS plug to this jack to sweep the MIDS center frequency with your foot or other extremity.

OUTPUT

This is the audio output. Connect it to the input of your amp or another effects pedal.

This button allows you to select the impedance of the Volume pedal from LO-Z to HI-Z.

VOL KNOB

Use the VOL (volume) knob to adjust the master output volume.

CRY/TALK TOGGLE SWITCH

The “up” position selects the CRY setting. CRY simulates the type of filter found in a typical wah pedal circuit. The “down” position selects the TALK setting. This setting—as its name implies—produces throaty/vocal vowel sounds.

FUZZ PRE/X/POST TOGGLE SWITCH

The PRE position places the fuzz before the filter. The position marked X removes the fuzz entirely from the circuit. The POST position places the fuzz after the filter.

BOT KNOB

The BOT Knob is a low frequency boost control that is slightly above unity gain when set fully clockwise. Set this knob fully counterclockwise to remove the BOTTOM circuit from the signal path.

OUTPUT JACK

This ¼” jack is the audio output for the Cock Fight Plus.

INPUT JACK

This ¼” jack is the audio input for the Cock Fight Plus.

TONE KNOB

Use the TONE knob to vary the fuzz sound from dark to bright.

BIAS KNOB

The BIAS knob controls the amount of bias voltage supplied to one of the two transistors in the fuzz circuit.

DRIVE KNOB

Set the amount of fuzz with the DRIVE knob.

VOL KNOB [MAIN OUTPUT LEVEL]

Controls master volume. Use this control to balance your level between bypass and effect mode.

ATTACK KNOB

Sets the amount of time delay before the compressor/limiter is activated once the input signal level reaches or exceeds the threshold setting.

RELEASE KNOB

While the compressor/limiter is acting on the signal, the input may drop below the threshold setting and cause the compressor to cease working on the signal. The compressor does not stop working immediately, though. Rather, it gradually stops over a period of time that is set by the RELEASE knob.

SUSTAIN KNOB

Compressor Mode: Adjusts compression ratio. Limiter Mode: Adjusts threshold level.

VOL KNOB [DRIVE LEVEL]

Controls the output volume of the Drive section.

TONE KNOB

Adjusts the frequency response of the overdrive’s hi-cut filter, allowing you to dial in the perfect overdrive tone.

DRIVE KNOB

Controls the input gain of the overdrive section.

SWELL KNOB

Adjust fade-in time.

KNEE BUTTON

Changes the compression/limiting curve to produce a compression sound that is either more or less transparent.

LIMITER BUTTON

Engages the limiter.

BYPASS FOOTSWITCH AND LED

Toggle between effect mode and bypass.

DRIVE FOOTSWITCH AND LED

Allows you to engage or bypass the overdrive section. When Drive is engaged, the white LED above the DRIVE footswitch lights up.

MONO/L INPUT JACK

Plug your instrument or output from another effects pedal into this jack.

R INPUT JACK

Plug your instrument output or another effects pedal into this jack.

MONO/L OUTPUT JACK

The Left output signal is sent through this jack.

R OUTPUT

The Right output signal is sent through this jack.

SHAPE SWITCH

Sets the waveform shape of the LFO.

RANGE KNOB

Sets the frequency range of the filter’s modulation.

BYPASS FOOTSWITCH AND ORANGE STATUS LED

The orange LED illuminates when the effect is engaged. Tap the footswitch to toggle between effect on and off.

TAP FOOTSWITCH

Use this footswitch to tap in a tempo for the LFO.

INPUT JACK

Plug your instrument or the output of another effects pedal into this ¼” jack.

OUTPUT JACK

Outputs the Blurst’s audio signal.

EXP JACK

Plug a TRS expression pedal or other CV device (such as an EHX 8-Step Program) into this ¼” jack.
